Ronald Reagan Library

This weekend, they aired Air Force One on TV, so on Sunday, January 20th, we decided to have a family day and visit the Ronald Reagan Library. It is a very nice library with so much memorabilia. One of my first thoughts was that Nancy Reagan must have a had a huge closet to have kept all those gowns, that are now on display at the library.
This is a replica of the oval office. We were told that when Ronald was asked how he liked the library, he stated that he didn't like the ceiling of this room because it wasn't to scale and was much lower than the original. The architects had two choices: raise the ceiling or lower the floor. They chose to lower the floor.

President Reagan's memorial site. This really made me choke up, remembering watching Nancy mourning on TV. She is such a classy lady and it was heartbreaking to see her break down in front of the world.

Posing in frong of Air Force One. This plane was retired after the Reagan era. The current plane is a 747 and really does have the elevator shown in the movie. This plane is much smaller and doesn't have an elevator.

Brian turns 10!

We had Brian's 10th birthday party on Friday, January 18th, at Sky City Bounce House. The kids had a blast. Before I saw this place, I thought it would be on "Chucky Cheese" level, but these inflatables are huge. I even went down a slide and through the obstacle course. It was a lot of fun and a great way to burn off some energy after a long week at school.
