Dinner and a Movie

Last night, we had dinner with the Conlins and the Hawkings. Kathy cooked up some yummy tacos and Jenny made some delicious fried rice. Afterward, the dogs had a play date and the kids watched movies until about 1:00 am.
This is Cody, a miniature Australian Shepard. He didn't get to come play because he attacks Monty. I think he sees him as a big black steer and tries to herd him.

On the left is Katie O'Brien, one of Samantha's friends.

This is Jack. Oh, I should tell you the story of Jack. He's probably the best behaved dog on the street. We have some new neighbors who have a shi tzu. A few weeks ago, Jack got out of the backyard and ran over to the shi tzu. Jack's was called back and he came right away. Two days later, the dog pound showed up at the Conlin's home because the shi tzu owner said he lunged at him and now Jack is on record as a vicious dog. We're all being very careful with our dogs getting out because we don't want to take a chance that they will report any of our dogs, but especially Jack, because if it happens again, they pound could take action, and none of us wants that to happen.

Katie, Brian and Samantha - ultimate fighting.

I'm sure Kathy's happy this was happening in her living room!

Oh, yeah, This very vicious dog being chased by a Chihuahua mix! Uh huh. Better call the pound!

No, Ginger. You don't quite fit under Jack anymore.

Okay, this is classic! Three men trying to hook up cable. This does not look good! Uh, guys. Maybe we should wait until it's light out, or until we're sober, or until the cable company can come out!

Tired dogs!

Summer in the City

Okay, I'm not one to add videos to my blog, especially something I didn't take myself, but a pal sent this to me and I thought it was just too good not to share. I believe this group is called Pilobolus Dance Company.

Thanks, Eitan!

I'm all over the place . . .

Somehow, Drew and I became the unoffocial "official" photographers for the high school Boosters. It started off innocently enough - a few photos here, a few photos there. But it escalated. Drew was taking 300 to 400 pictures per event and it was taking forever to load onto the blogs I had created. And then, I did some checking and found out that I was already at 50% of my photo space on Blogger. Note that I also had one for Brian's football team, too. So I had to switch to a photo sharing site.

I've started to lose track, so I put them on my links section, to the right.

The exciting news is that both boys' hockey teams won the championship for their divisions. In the 1st game of the playoffs, Brian scored the goal to tie up the game and then scored the winning goal in the overtime shootout. So that game was huge for him.
